Have you discovered the amazing world of essential oils?
Many people now using these highly concentrated plant essences to alleviate minor health problems, such as headaches, or to protect themselves against various pathogens. There’s also scientific evidence that these oils contain natural germ-fighting compounds.
Essential oils offer a safe way to freshen the air in your home. Some of the popular chemical plug-in fresheners may mask unpleasant odors. But they do this with questionable and potentially dangerous ingredients.
Essential Oil Home Kits
(This post contains affiliate links, and if you purchase a product I receive a commission, at no extra cost to you.)
Many people like to use essential oils for cleaning projects, or for natural pest control. For instance, did you know that lavender essential oil diluted with water makes a great anti-bacterial scrub for your kitchen? Also, peppermint essential oil oil can be cut with water and used as a spray to keep ants away, since insects hate the smell of aromatic peppermint.
If you’ve never used essential oils before, practically speaking, it usually makes sense to get them in a kit. Nearly every major aromatherapy company now sells essential oil kits, usually containing their most popular oils or blends. The kits you see below are not MLM products. So there’s no enrollment fee or monthly minimum purchase that’s part of the package.
Essential Oils and Multilevel Marketing
There are two competing multilevel marketing companies. They do sell good oils. However, not everyone prefers to shop this way. I know I don’t.
Also, I can find excellent products outside the MLM circuits. Because I use my oils a lot, I’ve decided to purchase oils from companies that sell their products more directly, instead of through a network of distributors. (This gets rid of various layers of commissions.) The oils I use myself are of excellent quality. Many of them come from a company called Plant Therapy.
Plant Therapy is a family-run business based in Idaho. It’s quickly gaining brand recognition, as more consumers realize it’s a great alternative to the MLM oils. I have complete confidence in Plant Therapy essential oils. Since I use them myself, I feel good about recommending them to my readers.
Plant Therapy Essential Oil Beginners Kit
Plant Therapy oils are tested once in house, and then again by a third party. Plant Therapy has also partnered with world famous aromatherapist Robert Tisserand.
Here are two Plant Therapy starter kits. One contains six of the most popular singles. The other kit contains seven single oils and seven blends.
Essential Oil Kits For Beginners
Another company I trust is Edens Garden. I’ve bought a couple of Edens Garden blends, and I love them. Like Plant Therapy, this company does not have an MLM sales model. It’s good to have options, and this is yet another good one if you don’t want to buy your oils from a multilevel marketing distributor.
Essential Oil Mini Kits
Edens Garden also sells some of its most popular selections in sets. I love how how beautifully Edens Garden kits are packaged so beautifully, if you want to give them as gifts. It has kits ranging from just two different types of oils, all the way up to 32.
This company sells a wide range of essential oil kits, including a set of Biblical oils, as well as a De-Stress essential set. I own the Edens Garden Stress Relief Synergy Blend, included in the De-Stress kit, and I can tell you that it’s wonderful. Edens Garden also sells essential oil kits designed for children.
Introductory Essential Oil Kits
Edens Garden also has introductory kits that contain its most popular oils. These are also the selections that are typically chosen by people new to aromatherapy. If you only want to try a few aromatics, just to get started, I’d highly recommend sweet orange, lavender or peppermint essential oil. These are the oils that seem to be among the most versatile, both for personal care and for household projects as well.
Natural Essential Oil Kits for Children
Below are Edens Garden and Plant Therapy essential oil sets designed for children. There’s a lot of controversy surrounding safe and proper use of essential oils. So I generally tell my readers to choose child safe oils and not to use them on children under two.
I like it when essential oil companies offer a child safe line. However, these oils can also be used by adults. In any event, they must be diluted with a carrier oil, such as fractionated coconut oil, before applying them directly to your skin.
