    Essential Oil Tension Roller

April 5, 2016 in Essential Oils

essential oil tension rollerI use my essential oils for pain relief. So I’m acutely aware of the difference they’ve made in my life.

When a headache hits, or my chronic nerve pain rears its ugly head, I read for my essential oils.

This is easy to do if you’re at home.

On the road, though, it’s a different story. Essential oils are very strong. So they must be mixed with a carrier oil before you put them on your skin.

Again, this is easy to do at home. I simply put one or two drops of essential oil into a teaspoon of carrier. For this, I usually use olive oil or grapeseed oil, both of which can be found in my kitchen cabinet.

However, this is usually not a practical solution when you’re working, or when you’re traveling. That’s why essential oil roller bottles were invented, including special essential oil rollers designed for tension or muscle relief.

Essential oils appear to contain natural compounds that work as analgesics. In fact, in our house, we’ve gotten rid of all of our over-the-counter pain relievers. This means you won’t find acetaminophen or ibuprofen in our natural medical cabinet. We don’t plan to buy these products again either, because we use essential oils. For my own headaches, I use a special essential blend. (Sometimes, if a really bad headache hits, we call our homeopath for a specific remedy.)

In the last decade, essential oils have become wildly popular. Although they’ve been used medicinally for centuries, people seemed to forget about them sometime in the 1900’s. Now, though, they’re making a huge comeback.

We’re certainly not the only ones using aromatherapy for pain control, at least judging by the huge number of aromatic pain relief formulas on the market. I love to tell my readers about natural solutions, and share information on different natural remedies. However, please understand that I’m not a medical professional. So anything you read here is informational only. It’s not intended as medical advice. Nor can I make any claims that anything I write about will solve your health problems.

Nearly every large essential oil company has one or more blends designed for aches or tension. Some of these brands also come in convenient roller bottles. You can bring these rollers to work, or pack them in a suitcase. The only thing I wouldn’t do is leave them in a hot car, because essential oils should be stored away from light and heat.

    Plant Therapy Roller Bottles

One of my very favorite essential oil companies is Plant Therapy. This was the first brand I tried, once I stepped out of the MLM circles. I was so impressed that I started to do some research. I learned this company has a mission. It wants to sell high-quality oils that everyone can easily own. It also has rigorous quality control. Each oil is tested in house. It’s also tested by an independent lab.

When I buy Plant Therapy oils, I never worry about impurities or pesticide residue, because I trust this family-run business, based in Idaho.

Where to Buy Plant Therapy Rollers

I bought my first bottle of Plant Therapy a few years ago. At the time, I wondered why this company isn’t better known. Since then, its name recognition seems to have increased exponentially. It has also teamed up with a world-famous aromatherapist named Robert Tisserand.

Plant Therapy sells a number of roller bottle blends. The big advantage of a roller bottle, in addition to its compact size, is that the aromatic oils are already diluted, so you can roll them on your skin. The 10 ml bottles shown below include specific essential oil blends, mixed with fractionated coconut oil.

Oftentimes, aromatherapists recommend blends containing multiple oils. That’s because it’s believed the ingredients work together to create a more powerful synergy.
