Have you discovered those amazing natural plant-based remedies called essential oils? As a Catholic, I like to think that they’re a gift from God. A growing number of people now seem to be using them to support their bodies and to calm their emotions.
In the last few years or so, essential oils have become wildly popular. I understand why. Once I tried them, I was hooked. Now, I use them for all sorts of things. I often sprinkle a little lavender oil on my pillow at night to help me get to sleep. I also use a germ-fighting aromatic blend on my kitchen sponge to disinfection my counter tops.
Now, I never want to be without my oils. I also wonder how I lived without them for so long. Shortly after buying my first bottles of essential oils, I learned something. You don’t have to stick with the multilevel marketing networks. There are two large MLM networks. There’s also a widespread belief that you need to buy your oils from an independent distributor. Otherwise, you won’t get a good oil. I’m here to tell you that’s not true. Actually, you can save a lot of money by shopping outside the MLM networks. That’s because multiple layers of commissions are not rolled into the price.
Essential Oils to Help Insomnia
(This post contains affiliate links, and if you purchase a product I receive a commission, at no extra cost to you.)
I’ve suffered from insomnia for most of my adult life. Now, though, I feel like this problem is under control, thanks partly to my oils. Sometimes I still wake up at 3 am and can’t get back to sleep. But this only happens occasionally.
At night, I place a few drops of lavender essential oil or another aromatic on a tissue. I place this by my pillow. Now, when I go to bed, I’m pretty confident that I’ll fall asleep. If I happen to wake up early, I inhale the pleasant, relaxing scent and usually drift off to sleep again.
For me, essential oils have been a life changer. I’ve heard other people express similar sentiments.
Plant Therapy Essential Oils Quality
Because so many people are starting to use these natural remedies, a rapidly growing industry has sprung up. Sometimes claims are overstated. Essential oil fraud has also been widely reported. If you’re interested in buying your own aromatics, I can recommend some reputable companies. One is Plant Therapy. This Idaho-based company works with a world-famous essential oil expert. I’m very impressed with its commitment to excellence.
You can purchase Plant Therapy essential oil kits. Or you can order bottles separately. I’ve been so happy with these oils that I’m a repeat customer. I love telling other people about what I consider my incredible find, when I discovered this company a few years ago. Plant Therapy lavender essential oil smells absolutely exquisite.
Essential Oil Starter Set
An easy to grow an essential oil collection is with a starter set. I like this Plant Therapy essential oil starter set shown below because it contains seven of the most popular oils for beginners, as well as seven more synergy blends. Aromatherapists typically recommend using multiple oils to address specific conditions, such as stress and immune support. It’s believed the various ingredients work in synergy.
This kit contains Plant Therapy’s Germ Fighter blend. This is a mix of five oils often attributed to a group of Medieval thieves. Protected by this formula, they stole from the sick during a plague, without fear of catching the illness themselves.

A number of other good and reputable companies offer high-quality oils that you can trust. In the past, I’ve purchased excellent oils from Aura Cacia and I also regularly buy oils from Edens Garden and from a couple of other companies as well. There are excellent products that exist both within and without the MLM networks.
Actually, I’ve tried essential oils from many of the most popular companies. I’ve written a post called Essential Oil Companies Comparison, which discussed this topic in more depth. I think it’s really important to give people different options, and I hope that’s what I’ve done.
