It’s been a few years since I made the radical move to clean up my diet. The difference in my health is like night and day.
I have more energy than I did when I was younger. Even better, my chronic nerve inflammation has eased up. I’m no longer in excruciating pain. I sleep well at night. Even my skin looks better.

Most of the corn we grow springs from genetically modified seeds. The same is true of soy and rapeseed, which yields canola oil. I’m convinced that most people don’t know why our crops are genetically modified in the first place. It’s done to create plants that don’t die when they’re sprayed with a controversial herbicide known as Roundup.

No one has conclusively proven a link between GMOs and cancer. But you should know about a French study conducted at the University of Caen. Laboratory rats fed genetically modified feed developed enormous tumors on their mammary glands. This is the human equivalent of breast cancer.
I feel it’s my duty to inform my readers of these findings. Knowledge is power. If they’re uncomfortable with eating GMOs, I want to give them the tools necessary to avoid them. The surest way is to buy organic food that also has a Non-GMO Project label. One easy task is to replace your salt. Most alternative health experts believed that table salt is toxic. So they encourage us to consume natural salt instead. In our house we eat natural pink Himilayan salt, which contains the minerals our body needs to stay healthy.

How to Eat a Better Diet
I don’t want to leave you with the impression that it’s always easy to eat better. It requires a level of sacrifice. In my case, my health was failing. So for me, it was either do something drastic or get much sicker.
Eating at home is not too difficult. There’s still a lot I can eat. Eating at someone else’s house can be challenging. If I’m at a party, I do have to skip the cake. Avoiding GMOs in a restaurant is nearly impossible. Here’s how I try to minimize them when I go out to eat.
But my body seems to be getting stronger the longer I stay on this healthy diet. At first, restaurant meals were pretty much out of the question. Now, I can deviate a little, and not feel the consequences. You might be wondering if it’s worth it to go through the trouble of changing your diet. For me, it definitely was.
