Natural Face Mask For Glowing Skin

In recent years, an ugly truth has emerged. The beauty industry may be harmful to your health. This may be one of the reasons why so many of us (myself included) are now using all natural cosmetics.

There’s a safer substitute for everything. Really, there is. Once you try plant-based cosmetics, you won’t miss your old cancer-causing chemicals again.

You can even find all natural organic face masks made with ingredients that come from plants, instead of questionable synthetics.

I’m absolutely horrified at what many women are putting on their skin. I want to do my little part to help get the truth out, so we can all make safer choices.

    Health Risks of Beauty Salons

If you walk into your average salon, or day spa, there’s a good chance you’ll be exposed to potentially dangerous chemicals. Some of these compounds, such as formaldehyde, have even been linked to cancer. (These are commonly used in nail products.)

It defies logic how formaldehyde, an ingredient in embalming fluid, can also be used on (or around) unsuspecting customers. But, unfortunately, there appears to be a lack of regulation and oversight.

Unfortunately, you can’t assume that any governmental agency will have your back, the next time you visit a day spa to pamper yourself with a facial. Some truly organic spas may use only plant-based products. But others that advertise as being “natural” may use plant-based products that also contain chemicals that should be avoided, such as parabens. These are hormone disruptors that mimic estrogen. They are tentatively linked to breast cancer.

    Low Cost Home Facial

Plus, I don’t know about you. But I don’t have money to burn. Professional facials are pricey. Depending upon where you live, a professional facial could cost anywhere from $75 to $300. Organic spas may charge top dollar, since they have little competition.

So I want you to know there are options, which don’t involve potentially dangerous chemicals. Plus, your bank account will thank you.

In the last few years, I’ve gotten rid of all of my old beauty products. I don’t miss them a bit. That’s because the natural substitutes I’ve found work even better. Here are some of the things I now use. These have replaced the cancer-causing poisons I used to own.

Part of a professional facial involves a mask. This is used to firm and tone your skin, as well as draw out impurities. The composition of these masks can vary from salon to salon.

If you go to a truly organic spa, if you can find one in your area, this mask will consist of various plant-based ingredients. We’ve been conditioned to think that laboratory chemicals are needed to fight the visible effects of aging. However, I’ve found the opposite to be true. Natural oils and extracts have done wonders for my skin. It’s no longer blotchy. So I don’t need to wear foundation anymore.

The good news is that it’s possible to replicate part of a professional facial, at home, at minimal cost. You can buy your own organic face mask, made with totally natural ingredients. This will save a lot of money, if you’re in the habit of getting regular facials. Plus, you won’t be risking your health, especially if the salon you use also does nails, and you want to avoid breathing in those noxious fumes.

    All Natural Moisturizing Face Mask

The natural face mask you see below is made by 100 Percent Pure, a company that makes a full line of organic cosmetics made with healthy ingredients. I’m a customer, because its product really work. This Ginseng Collagen Boost Face Mask is meant to help aging skin. It contains organic aloe juice, Korean red ginseng extract, Vitamin C, licorice root extract, plant allantoin, peony root extract, royal jelly extract, manuka honey extract, hyaluronic acid and plant cellulose.

The natural ingredients in this mask are designed to stimulate production of your own collagen, the protein found in your skin’s connective tissue. Collagen is what keeps your skin looking young.

    Harmful Chemicals in Cosmetic Products

Fortunately, we’re no longer in the dark concerning the toxic chemicals that are still added to cosmetics. For instance, did you know that it’s perfectly legal to add a little mercury to mascara? Also, you can find heavy metals, such as lead and cadmium, in many some lipstick brands. So you need to shop carefully.

If you’re interested in reading more about this issue, The Environmental Working Group has published an extensive report called EWG’s Skin Deep Cosmetics Database.
