    Natural Healing For Fibromyalgia

December 31, 2016 in Herbal remedies, Non-Toxic Lifestyle

natural healing for fibromyalgiaNatural healing for fibromyalgia is a subject that’s near and dear to my heart. That’s because I have chronic nerve inflammation.

At times, it was excruciating. The pain was so bad I could barely walk. It kept me awake at night. My condition came on suddenly. It progressed at lightening-like speed. I was dead tired. I could no longer care for my family. In my darker moments, I wondered how I’d end up. In a wheelchair? Or worse?

Fast forward ten years. Just before I wrote this post, I came in from shoveling my front walk. The snow was light and fluffy. But I was able to clear it away.

I’m so grateful to have regained my health. A lot of people prayed for me. I know this helped. In addition, I used a lot of natural remedies, including various herbal anti-inflammatory formulas.

    Natural Healing for Fibromyalgia

Please understand that I’m not a doctor. I can’t give medical advice. I can’t recommend specific remedies. Nor can I claim that any supplement, essential oil or dietary change can improve your health.

All I can do is share my own story, and hope that it encourages others to be as healthy as they can. It appears our bodies are designed to heal. I truly believe that.

One thing I want to stress is that I never take a particular remedy for too long. I switch them up and mix them around. I do this to prevent my body from becoming resistant to the remedy. Also, I don’t believe it’s wise to take an herbal remedy indefinitely. (Most of my remedies I only take for a week or two before switching to something else. After a break, I can use it again.)

    Natural Remedies for Fibromyalgia Symptoms

I took remedies to help control my inflammation. Other remedies I took for stress. Oftentimes, they overlapped. For instance, one particularly delicious remedy is tulsi tea with lavender. Tulsi is an Indian herb. It’s been used for centuries, for a wide range of conditions.

Tulsi (otherwise known as holy basil) is considered a good inflammation remedy. It’s also an adaptogen. This means it can potentially protect against the bad effects of stress, according to one school of thought. This herbal tea is a great relaxation remedy, especially if you choose to drink it at night. Lavender is often used as a natural sleep remedy.

Anyway, I’ve taken tulsi in various forms for years. One way to consume it is in warm water, as a tea. You can also find this popular Ayurvedic plant in capsule form. Below are three products that contain tulsi. I’ve used them all, and will probably continue to take some sort of herbal preparation for the rest of my life, to keep my inflammation in check. Zyflamend, which you can see in the middle, is a very popular natural anti-inflammatory.

    Natural Remedies for Fibromyalgia Syndrome

Despite my best efforts, some days I do have pain. Sometimes it’s a headache. Sometimes it’s in my wrists. Sometimes my lower legs hurt. Some days it’s my left knee. There’s a slight pain in my lower back that never totally goes away. I also have MS-like symptoms. (I keep these under control too.)

Considering how much I’ve recovered, I can’t complain. If I’m having a bad day, I reach for my essential oils. There’s a special recipe called Rapid Relief Synergy Blend. It’s designed to naturally ease discomfort. This is what I use instead of prescription or OTC pain medication. (The side effects scare me too much.)

Rapid Relief is sold by Plant Therapy. This is where I get a lot of my oils because the quality is so good. These oils are sold to the consumer, and not through a multilevel marketing network. You can see Rapid Relief on the left and Muscle Aid Synergy Blend on the right.

Right now, I’m using Rapid Relief. A future purchase might be Muscle Aid. That’s because my remedies work much better when I rotate them.

    Natural Healing Foods for Fibromyalgia

All the natural remedies in the world, though, probably wouldn’t compensate for a bad diet. That’s why I try, whenever possible, to eat home-cooked organic food.

This does require more time and effort. But the payoff has exceeded my wildest expectations. I don’t eat wheat. My diet is also dairy free. Both of these foods can fuel inflammation, according to numerous alternative health experts.

Although I can’t promise you’ll see the same results I saw, it only makes sense to eat right. This means getting rid of the junk and eating real food.

    Good Meals for Fibromyalgia

I know this type of cooking sounds daunting. But it doesn’t need to be. That’s because you just get used to making gluten-free, dairy-free meals. If you need help making the switch, I highly recommend Real Plans. This is a healthy meal planning service that gives you a week’s worth of recipes, plus a shopping list. So you know just what to buy and what to cook.

Another great option is Sun Basket. This is a meal delivery service that ships organic food to your house. You then make delicious meals in about 30 minutes. All of the ingredients are included. This might be a good option if you have a family, but you’re too tired to shop. Click on the image below to find out how to get $35 off of your first Sun Basket Order.
