The reason this site exists is because of pain. It’s been more than 10 years since I noticed my back hurt. It was a nagging ache that appeared, and then disappeared. This went on for a few months. The pain went away. Then it returned with a vengeance.
Before long, I had difficulty walking. I was exhausted. All the time. But I also had trouble sleeping at night. Insomnia coupled with a heavy fatigue is a dreadful combination. This happened when my children were still young, and I needed to take care of them. But I was an invalid. Cooking a dinner took every bit of strength I had. Most nights I couldn’t do that. Housework was out of the question.
Actually, I could barely walk. If I had to, I hobbled around the house. Otherwise, if I needed something, my children brought it to me.
Natural Remedies for Inflammation Pain
(This post contains affiliate links. I also received a free shipment of essential oils from Nature’s Fusions, but all opinions are my own.)
Nowadays, my life is pretty much back to normal. I have occasional aches and pains. I treat these with natural essential oils, instead of drugs. Many days I take one or more herbal remedies that contain anti-inflammatory compounds. Although I can’t prove it, I believe these have helped to slowly heal my body.
Fortunately, I had a lot of people praying for me. My pain was so visible that even total strangers took pity. On more than one occasion, at church, people walked up to me and said they’d been praying for my health to return. This is one blessing of being so visibly in pain. I was the grateful recipient of many prayers.
Natural Remedies for Joint Pain and Stiffness
Early on, I decided to forego over-the-counter pain relievers. (Prescription drugs were not something I wanted to take either.) That’s because I’d spent many years studying alternative medicine, as a lay person. However, I neglected to put this knowledge into practice. My diet was terrible. My stress level was off the charts. So it’s no surprise I developed chronic nerve inflammation.
My symptoms were identical to what some people call “fibromyalgia.” I had a few symptoms that resembled MS. However, these have pretty much disappeared. Early on, I visited holistic health practitioners. They quickly diagnosed me with adrenal fatigue.
But, regardless of what I had, my goal was to get better. I knew I could do it. Our bodies are made to heal. They just need the right tools.
Natural Remedies for Back Pain Relief
The worst of my pain was located in my back. This lower back pain hit hard on the right side. Sometimes it would travel to the left side. One of the more frustrating aspects of my condition is that the pain travels. I never know where it’s going to show up next.
At the height of my illness, my pain level was off the charts. Now it’s much more management. On a scale of 1 to 10, with higher numbers being the worst, I’d say it’s about a 2. Most of the time I don’t even think about it.
At one time, I had trouble just walking across my kitchen. Now I can walk for miles. I’ve even been able to hike in the woods, something that once seemed impossible.
Essential Oils for Joint Pain Relief
I still occasionally have bad days. But they’re nothing like they used to be. If my pain does happen to flare, I reach for one of my essential oils. I own a number of blends, as well as individual oils. I’d much rather use natural aromatics, as opposed to OTC pain medication. That’s because the latter can cause side effects, some of them quite serious.
Essential oils, on the other hand, are very safe when used as directed. For me, aromatic pain blends work better than drugs. However, I can’t claim or promise that any natural remedy I write about will solve anyone else’s health problems. All I can do is write about how various plant-based remedies help me.
Essential Oils for Back Pain Relief
I’m so grateful we now have access to healing plants from all over the world. Essential oils have literally changed my life. I use them for natural pain control, and so many other things. In addition to taking the edge off my nerve pain, they also help me sleep at night. Essential oils are wildly popular. So you can find special aromatic sleep blends, as well as blends designed for pain control.
I get my essential oils from a number of companies I trust. These are the ones I mention on this blog. However, I don’t buy my oils from MLM companies. That’s because I’ve found excellent sources that sell their oils directly to the consumer. I’ve tried both of the blends shown below. I think the Cooling Water Anti-Inflammatory Blend works best for me. It brought amazingly fast relief. But everyone is different. So I do need to stress that I can’t make claims or promises.
Nature’s Fusions essential oils are very potent. They are independently tested for purity. This is one of the brands I can comfortably share with my readers, because I’m now using these oils myself. I love essential oils and I’ve tried many brands. These are among the best.

Home Remedies Hip Joint Pain
I realize I’ll probably never be totally, 100 percent free of nerve pain. But life has gotten so much better. My energy level has improved so much. I can do my housework again. I can cook healthy meals. I’m convinced that eating right has also played a huge rule in my recovery. Actually, I don’t think that all of the natural remedies in the world would have made much of a difference if I didn’t change my diet.
All the junk I was eating had to go. Next to exit my kitchen were genetically modified ingredients. Now I’m careful not to buy anything that contains GMOs. My family is adapting. My husband likes to do some of his own grocery shopping, and I notice he usually buys cereal with the Non-GMO Project label. If you aren’t familiar with the controvery surrounding GMOs, I hope this post can shed some light on why so many of us try to avoid laboratory engineered food.
Natural Remedies for Fibromyalgia Pain
My adrenal fatigue symptoms are identical to what many people describe as fibromyalgia. But, rather than spending too much time nailing down a specific diagnosis, I decided to work on getting better. Adrental fatigue is generally picked up by alternative practitioners. Mainsteam medicine doesn’t consider it a real disease. Judging from my own experience, bouncing back from adrenal fatigue takes time. In my case, it was years.
However, I do need to stress that I’m not a doctor. So I can’t give medical advice. All I can do is share my personal experiences.
Home Remedies for Hip Joint Pain
My nerve pain travels. But it also settled in my right hip. Rather than even think about anything invasive, and working with several health professionals, I tried to naturally reduce my inflammation.
The first thing we worked on was reducing stress. This was easy, once I knew what I was dealing with. Part of my stress was coming from within. Part of it wasn’t. I had to identify that problem, and work towards a resolution. I’m convinced that forgiveness is the key to healing. The only way to truly free yourself from a bad situation is to forgive anyone who’s hurt you, from the bottom of your heart. If you need additional tips on forgiveness, I hope these posts can help.

Natural Remedy for Muscle Pain
At my sickest, I’d often have muscle spasms. These were terrible. Nowadays, they’re pretty much gone. But if I do get the occasional intense spasm pain, I reach for my essential oils. Although these aromatics don’t totally kill the pain, they dull it a lot. For me, they bring quick relief. (I also use peppermint oil or a special essential oil pain blend when I have a headache.)
Many days I take one or more herbal blends or single herbs that seem to contain natural anti-inflammatory compounds. I don’t take herbs every single day, as I once did. I think this means I’m getting better. Anyway, below are links that explain about some of the herbal remedies I’ve tried. All of my natural remedies work best if I switch them around, and don’t use the same one too long.
Natural Remedies for Knee Pain
Sometimes my chronic nerve pain appears in my left knee. This is the site of an old injury. So it’s probably a weak spot. My pain is no longer debilitating. So, when it strikes, I can usually ignore it. If not, I usually grab one of my essential oil pain relief blends. I like having different aromatic formulas in the house. This allows me to rotate them. They seem to work better this way.
But I’m well aware that natural remedies are probably only as good as my diet. That’s why I try to avoid foods that cause inflammation. Whenever possible, I eat organic food. I try to avoid genetically modified ingredients. This means cooking mostly everything from scratch. But my health is worth it. Life has returned to normal, minus the junk food.
Home Remedies for Joint Inflammation
Even though I’m not a medical professional, I can encourage people to eat right. Of course, if you have a chronic help problem, you’ll need to check with your doctor before making any dietary changes. But clean eating isn’t as difficult as it sounds. Giving up the junk was a little challenging. But, after a few weeks, I didn’t miss it. For me, dietary change is a small price to pay for how much better I feel.
If you’d like to take that first step toward eating better, I want to tell you about a really cool healthy meal planning service called Real Plans. It’s perfect for people who want to clean up their diets, but don’t know where to start. I encourage my readers to sign up with this low-cost service for a month. This should give them enough time to learn how to put healthy meals on the table. Real Plans is designed to save you time and money. Each week you get a shopping list. This contains everything you need to cook a week’s worth of delicious, nutritious meals. If you want more information, click on the picture below.
