    Organic Vs Pure Essential Oil

July 11, 2017 in Essential Oils

organic vs pure essential oilsSome of my essential oils have a little round label that says USDA-certified organic. This gives extra assurance that the oil comes from plants grown without potentially toxic pesticides, herbicides or chemical fertilizers.

However, I still use oils without this certification sticker. That’s because I know it’s difficult for a small farmer to meet all of the required standards, even though they may use organic farming practices. As long as I trust the company, I feel very comfortable using non-organic essential oils. I put them on my body and I put them in an inhaler. I’m not the least bit worried about contamination. As far as I’m concerned, trust is far more important than a label.

Many oils are sourced from the developing world. It’s widely agreed that it’s best to obtain oils from plants grown in their native habitats. Expensive and labor intensive certification may not be available.

I’m one of those people who uses essential oils every day. Now, I wonder how I lived so long without them. They are amazing. I truly believe they are gifts from God, given to us to help us cope in the stressful times in which we live.

Essential oils have been used for centuries. They seem to help on an emotional, as well as on a physical level. Certain aromatics have even been found to reduce stress. Other essential oils can be used for natural pain relief. I suffer from chronic nerve inflammation. I don’t take OTC or prescription drugs. Instead, if needed, I use one of my special aromatic pain relief formulas for quick relief.

I also use essential oils to help me focus when I’m working. It’s also been found that rosemary essential oil can help with memory recall. In addition, I use essential oils in my homemade cleaning recipes. They eliminate the need to use potentially toxic chemicals. So, as you can image, I’ve bought a lot of essential oils through the years. So I’ve found several non-MLM essential oil companies I trust, which I can recommend to my readers.

Organic Essential Oils vs Pure Essential Oils

Not all of the oils sold by my favorite essential oil companies are organic. Two of these companies – Plant Therapy and Aura Cacia – do have a line of USDA-certified organic oils. But the selections are relatively limited. If I bought only from this line, I wouldn’t be able to enjoy some of the amazing blends I’ve found. Also, I might have to do without

Edens Garden is another company I trust. It sells high-quality oils at great prices. It has an extensive selection of blends, which are not certified organic. But, because I’ve researched this company, I know it has 100 percent pure oils. I use them with total and complete confidence.

Where Can I Buy Organic Essential Oil?

Plant Therapy is where I’ve bought a lot of my oils. They have a growing USDA-certified organic line of singles. Although I comfortably use USDA-organic oils, I try to buy organic citrus oils. That’s because the aromatic oil is extracted from the rind, where pesticides would have collected. Plant Therapy.

Sweet orange essential oil is a popular aromatic because it’s so versatile. Below, you can see organic sweet orange oil, lemon oil and mandarin oil. Lemon is also very popular, probably because it’s so uplifting.

    Organic Essential Oils MLM

Two large MLM companies can be largely credited with making essential oils popular again in America. If you spend any time on social media, you’ve undoubtedly heard about Young Living and do Terra. These are rival multilevel marketing operations that also sell high quality oils. Neither appear to sell oils that are USDA-certified organic. At least that’s what I could glean by visiting their websites while researching information for this post.

I did find information that do Terra has its own process for certification. According to its website, Young Living also oversees plant production. Yet, I would not hesitate to use oils from either company. The reason I don’t is because of the price. There’s an added cost attached to MLM products, because of the various levels of commissions. That’s why I’ve found brands that I believe are just as good, but less expensive.
