Someone I know takes Zyflamend everyday. He swears by it. In fact, you could say he’s a living, walking advertisement for this herbal supplement.
He convinced me to take it and I believe it does help relieve my chronic nerve pain. It seems to do this by reducing inflammation.
Chronic inflammation is my enemy. For some reason mine is stuck in overdrive. If I can control it with diet and natural remedies I feel a lot better.
Since I’m not a doctor, this post is not written as medical advice. Instead, I’m only sharing my person experience with Zyflamend, an extremely popular herbal remedy that’s designed to relieve inflammation.

Zyflamend contains 10 herbs known for their anti-inflammatory and immune modulating effects. A number of them are considered adaptogens.
Adaptogens are a group of medicinal plants with wide-ranging effects on the body. They’re also believed to have the ability to help us better withstand stressful events.
Some herbs in this formula are known for killing parasites and other pathogens, which can trigger the inflammatory response. One botanical, Chinese skullcap, has been used for centuries in Traditional Chinese medicine to ease stress and anxiety, and to help facilitate sleep.
Another ingredient in Zyflamend is tulsi. (Sometimes people refer to this herb as “holy basil.”)
Zyflamend Whole Body Benefits
Anyway, tulsi is considered one of the most important medicines in Indian Ayurveda. (This is one single herb I take often, and I never want to be without it.) For me, chronic inflammation led to a crippling nerve condition. I’m living much pretty symptom free, with various remedies designed to reduce inflammation. It’s likely I’ll have to take these for the rest of my life.
Indian herbalists, as well as those in the West, often recommend tulsi as a health tonic. Modern medicine has studied this amazing plant. So far, there’s growing evidence it has a protective effect against malignancy, at least in the lab. It’s also able to trigger cancer cell death.

Zyflamend is one of the herbal remedies I include in my rotation. I’m taking a break from it, after taking it for a long time. Whether I start taking it again remains to be seen. I did get some mileage out of it before my body started “telling” me I no longer needed it. It did seem to help my pain.
In general, it’s probably not a good idea to take herbs indefinitely. I stop taking remedies once they lose their “appeal.” I also notice I start “forgetting” to take them. These are my signs they’ve done their job.
Does Zyflamend Really Work?
Zyflamend appears to not have the side effects associated with OTC pain medications. If you suffer from chronic pain, it might be worth a try. Everyone is different. So what works for one may not work for another. (Getting better, for me, involved a lot of trial and error. Plus, lifestyle changes. Zyflamend alone may not have made a huge difference if I didn’t change my diet and do homeopathy and other types of natural healing.)
I find that not taking the same formula for too long seems to make my natural healthcare products work better. After a break, I can often return to a remedy with the same good results I first saw. That’s why own a number of herbal inflammation remedies. (That’s why my husband jokes that we need to build an addition to our house, in order to store them all.)
Zyflamend to Reduce Inflammation
It’s believed the 10 herbs in Zyflamend work together, in synergy, to reduce inflammation. (I did seem to notice less pain when taking it.) The normal inflammatory process is a good thing. It helps repair damaged cells, such as when we have an injury. But excess inflammation is another story. Many holistic health experts consider it the root cause of disease.
Inflammation is the underlying problem behind so many problems, including arthritis, arthritis, multiple sclerosis, c diabetes, heart disease, allergies and chronic intestinal problems, such as Crohn’s disease. So, reigning it in should lead to better overall health. (At least that’s what my naturopathic practitioners have told me.)
One potential advantage Zyflamend has over many of the other herbal supplements is that it’s a whole herb formula. There’s a current trend of isolating just one active ingredient, and putting it into a pill. However, there’s concern this removes other beneficial compounds that work together.
How to Reduce Systemic Inflammation
Inflammation is something I fight daily. But I’m winning the battle. I can walk again. About 10 years ago, I developed a painful and paralytic condition fueled by chronic inflammation. With the help of herbs, homeopathy and a clean diet, my symptoms have receded. I still have bad days, but they’re much less frequent.
Herbal anti inflammatories, such as Zyflamend, which is an excellent product, probably work best when combined with a lifestyle overhaul. At least this is what I’ve done. I also work to keep my stress level from going off the charts.
Eating Well to Reduce Inflammation
Although changing my diet was a daunting task, it became much easier with time. Once I started to eat better, it seemed is if my taste buds changed. I no longer crave highly refined processed foods. Healthier choices are much more palatable.
